Mr. Doris (D.L.) Blankenship of Sharpsburg died October 21, 1988. He is survived by wife, Mrs. Myra Blankenship, Sharpsburg; daughter, Ms. Martha M. Blankenship, Tyron; son, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy W (Carolyn) Blankenship, Salinas, CA; grandchildren, Philip A. Blankenship, Lee Steele, Jennifer Blankenship; sister, Mr. Talmadge F. Dickson, Atlanta; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, October 24, 1988 at 11 o'clock a.m. at the Flat Creek Baptist Church with remains placed in state at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Bill Priester will officiate. Interment, Westview. Family will receive friends Saturday and Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. Carl Mowell & Son, Fayetteville.
