Mr. Achord was a native of Saulsbury, Tennessee and lived in the Port Neches area since 1949.
He was an instrument mechanic and retired after many years of service for DuPont. He was a veteran of the Air Force and a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Nederland. Charlie will be remembered as a loving father and devoted husband.
Mr. Achord is survived by his wife of sixty years, Doris Achord; daughter, Nancy Flores and her husband Robert; son, Bradley Achord; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kelsey and Agnes Achord; brothers, Frank and Wade Achord and his sister, Sybil Cannon.
