When the Orma Cem. was transcribed in 1985 all the Hamrick's were spelled Hambrick. The name is spelled Hamrick on the actual tombstone, with one of his military marker showing complete dates. The photos are posted on another TS site, so I do not have the rights to copy & repost here.

Obituary: The Charleston Gazette, Saturday, November 23, 1957, page 13:
Hamrick, John K. - 66, of Orma, Calhoun County, died Wednesday in a Spencer Hospital shortly after admittance. Death was caused by a heart attack. Mr. Hamrick was a member of Orma Methodist Church, Euraka Lodge No. 40, AF & AM of Grantsville. He taught school in Calhoun County for 37 years. At time of his death, he was postmaster at Orma. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Zana Carson(sic) Hamrick; two daughters, Mrs. Russell Boren of Decautar(sic), Ill, and Mrs. Carol Morris of Akron, Ohio; two sons, Russell of Akron and Ruffner of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. Rhoda Gunn of Mt. Zion, Mrs. Ida Pugh and Mrs. Myrtle Underwood, both of Summersville, Mrs. Sarah Riddle of Little Hocking, Ohio, and Mrs. Edna Belt of Spencer; a brother, Howard, of Mill Creek; and five grandchildren. Service will be at 2 p.m. today in Orma Methodist Church. Revs. Kenneth Cruikshank, L. C. Morris and Johnny Alfred will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be graveside Masonic rites. The body was taken from Sinnett mortuary at Spencer to the residence. It will be taken to the church an hour before the service.
