Graveside service was Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Sunset Cemetery for Carrol Floyd "Crick" Able, 88, of Sunset. The Rev. Doyle Wade officiated.

Able died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, in Decatur.

Born May 7, 1912, in Park Springs, he was a retired railroad switchman for the Rock Island Railroad and a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include a daughter, Janice K. Armstrong and her husband Joe, of Sunset; three grandsons, Joey Armstrong of Houston, J. Lee Armstrong of Wichita Falls and Jarrett Armstrong of Keller; a granddaughter, Robin Kuntz of Houston; and a brother, Royce Able of Fort Worth. Also surviving are 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
