She was born July 28, 1822 in Bellville, Richland, Ohio. She died Sept 20, 1886 in Hamilton, Greenwood, KS. She was married to George Burnes Armstrong on Feb 6, 1845. To this union were born James Varner, Oliver K, Tacy Angeline, Elcy Jane, Mary Ellen, Evy, Emma Elizabeth, Ada C, and Ida Belle. One daughter preceded her in death Ada C, dying in Victor, Iowa, in 1866 and one brother Josiah E, in 1853 in Ohio.
