Malcolm Leon Walters, 84, returned home to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on September 20, 2010 at his home. He resided at 9958 South Tulip Drive (745 East) in White City, Utah at the time of his death.

He was born February 14, 1926 in Tooele, Utah to Malcolm Asa and Hazel Agnes Bryan Walters.

Leon married Arleene Hatch on September 3, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. He grew up in the Uinta Basin on a cattle ranch, loved the outdoors and enjoyed riding horses, camping, and traveling. Served honorably in the US Navy.

Leon was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Eastern Canadian Mission as a young man and the Singapore Mission with his sweetheart. He was a temple worker in the Jordan River and Draper Temples. He was a friend to all, was honest, had integrity, and a strong work ethic.

Survived by his children, Mary Anne (Lee) Brindley; Margaret (Rich) Reuling; Kevin (Teresa) Walters; Karen (Marc) Olesen; Craig (Jodi) Walters; daughter-in-law, Melanie Walters; fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth (Rulon) Skinner; sister-in-law, Marilyn Walters. Preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Bryan Walters; grandson, Patrick Walters; sister, Carol Jeanne (Leland) Wright; brother, Joseph Walters.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sandy Central Stake Center, 1050 East Galena Drive. Friends may call on Friday, September 24, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 Soutbh State Street (100 East), and one hour prior to the services at the Church.
Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens.
