Nancy Jane Stroud Roberts was the daughter of Jesse Stroud who was born in Orange County, NC and his wife Naomi. (said to be Kelsey, but this is unproven and doubtful).
Her father Jesse Stroud died in Weakley County, TN in 1834 and named his daughter Nancy in his will. Also named were her siblings and half siblings, by his second wife Tabitha Hicks Stroud.

Nancy Jane Stroud married in Dickson County, TN circa 1812 or 1813 to John Osborn Roberts aka John O. Roberds, and they later removed to Wayne County, TN. David Travillion Bunton has the familu records, ie Bible, letters, family memoirs, etc.
