Wooster Daily Record, March 27, 1964 pg 2: LODI - Clarence C. George, 73, Howe St. died at the Akron General Hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks. Mr. George had been in failing health for the past year. He was born near Burbank and has lived in Lodi for 40 years. He had been employed as a signalman on the B. & O. Railroad until he retired ten years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Esther; six daughters, Mrs. Douglas Decker of Lodi, Mrs. Blake Dalglesh of Wellington, Mrs. George Ponting of Brunswick, Mrs. Clare Meek of Lodi, Mrs. William Hall, Jr. of Lodi; a son, Clarence Jr. with the U. S. Navy, Norfolk, Va.; 27 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Swartz of Burbank; a brother, Dewey of Cambridge; and nieces and nephews. A son died previously.
Services will be Monday at 1:30 at Parker Funeral Home in Lodi with Dr. Clarence Bradbury of the Lodi Congregational Church officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
