Isaac Bruce Cooper February 24, 1927 - September 19, 2010 COLUMBUS, GA — Reverend Isaac Bruce Cooper, 83, of Columbus, GA passes away, Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Franciscan Woods. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2010 beginning at 10:30 AM with Reverend Jason Cooper and Tommy Poole officiating at Vance Brooks Funeral Home Chapel, 4048 Macon Road. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Reverend Isaac Bruce Cooper was born February, 24, 1927 in Opelika, AL to the late Bettie Van Bufford and Lewis B. Cooper, Sr. Other than his parents, Isaac was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Cooper and husband, Paul Gore, two brothers, Lewis Cooper, Jr. and George W. Cooper and son-in-law, Jack Cook. Isaac Cooper is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sarah Frances Cooper; two daughters, Betty J. Cook and Frances Ann Cooper; son, Anthony B. Cooper; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. God called Isaac into full time Christian service under the leadership of Dr. Byron Glaze, where he served many years before being called to Pine Grove Baptist Church as its Pastor. They ordained him in 1973. Bruce was a soul winner and was never ashamed to witness for his lord. He always said he would preach until he was 80 years old and then go into full time evangelism. During his ministry he made several trips to foreign countries as well as here in the United States. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church in memory of Reverend Isaac Bruce Cooper.
