Albert C. Albertsen was born April 1, 1911 at Buck Grove, Ia. He was the son of Cornelius Bernhard and Henrietta Bargenquast Albertsen. He grew up in Manilla and graduated from high school there in 1930. Before his marriage he farmed with his father near Manilla.

On Feb 20, 1037 he was married to Alice Hansen of Irwin, Ia.in Carroll, Ia. They farmed near Dow City for a while before he owned and operated a grocery store in Storm Lake. In 1960 they moved to Council Bluffs where he was a meat cutter.

Albert passed away Oct. 27, 1984. He is survived by his wife Alice and three children, Mrs. Mike (Lorene) Kirkmeyer, Larry Albertsen and his wife Lynne, and Lorraine Albertsen, five grandchildren, Lawrence and Matthew Albertsen and Wauneta, Irvin, and Carol Kirkmeyer, and a sister Mrs. Ralph(Ellen Bernice) West.
