Funeral services for Homer H. Anderson, 86, of Frankston, were held Saturday, August 31, at 10 a.m. at the Blackwell and Blackwell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.A. Griffin officiating. Burial will be in the Frankston City Cemetery with graveside services at 1 p.m..

Mr. Anderson died Thursday, August 29, at his residence following a length illness.

He was born October 19, 1896 in Wedowee, Alabama, son of John Martin Anderson and Mary Ann Burns Anderson.

He was a Los Angeles, California, police officer who eventually moved to San Francisco where he was a driver for Yellow Cab Company. While in San Francisco, he married the former Jodie Scott, of Frankston on November 10, 1950. In 1965 he retired to Frankston. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Local 265 Chauffeurs Union and was affiliated with a Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Juanita (Jodie) Scott Anderson, of Frankston; a sister and brother-in-law Ola Mae and Joe Moore, of Frankston; an Uncle, Norman Burns, of Lubbock; and an aunt, Murial Burns, Cason City, Nev.; and several , nieces and nephews.
