SHREVEPORT, LA - Aaron Paul Savoie, age 25, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Rose-Neath Southside from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a prayer vigil to follow officiated by Father Pike Thomas. Funeral services to celebrate Aaron's life will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday September 16, 2010 at Shreveport Community Church, 5720 Buncombe Road, with Pastor Denny Duron officiating. The burial will follow in Centuries Memorial Park on Mansfield Road.
He was born on July 13, 1985 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated from Evangel Christian Academy in 2004, where he played fullback for the 2002 state champions. After graduating, he worked along side his father in the restaurant and catering business.
Aaron had many passions throughout his life. He enjoyed playing football, wakeboarding, working out and hanging out with his friends and family. After his playing career ended, he never missed an opportunity to watch his younger brother play the game he loved. He always had an outgoing personality and a big heart. He will be greatly missed by his many family and friends.
Aaron was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Thompson and Clarence Savoie.
He is survived by his parents, Gerald and Lisa Savoie; older brother, Adam Savoie and wife, Erin; and younger brother, Zachary Savoie; grandparents, Dolly Thompson and Lucille Savoie; as well as several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Regan Burns, Chris Williams, Dustin Edmonds, Brandon Jackson, cousins, Ryan, Trey and Craig Thompson.
