Graveside service for Clyde Raymond Biffar, 89, of Chico was to be at 10 a. m. Saturday, May 16, at Chico Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Potts officiating.
Biffar died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in Chico.
Born May 22, 1919, in Arlington, Neb., to John and Winnifred Biffar, he married Corinne Warrick Feb. 23, 1956, in Onawa, Iowa. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps and was a retired mechanic from Chrysler. He collected clocks. He was preceded in death by his sons, Glenn Biffar and James Biffar, and daughter, Elaine Biffar Sheffler. He is survived by his wife; daughters, Looie Biffar and Penny Pierce; son, Chuck Biffar and wife, Mary; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
