Rhomer Tillman Johnson is the son of John Edward Johnson and Dora Alice Ralph. He married Minnie Lee Higgins on the 31st of August 1940 at Hollis, Harmon, Oklahoma, and she is the daughter of Homer Grady Higgins and Temmie Catherine Dykes. Their children are:
Kerry Grant Johnson
Nikki Lee Johnson
Rhomer Anthony "Tony" Johnson
Stephen Michael Johnson.

Rhomer was a Baker in the U. S. Army and was stationed at Fort Lewis Washington during WW II. He also worked as a Chuck Wagon Cook for a big ranch outside of Clarendon, Texas. He farmed for a while in Groom, Texas, but due to a really bad ulcer, had to relocate to Amarillo, Texas and had an operation that removed about 2/3 of his stomach. In Amarillo, he worked as a baker at Koehler's Bakery, and had also worked at another small bakery where he decorated cakes, etc. He also worked as a short order cook at a local restaurant in Amarillo called the Golden Spread. In 1957 or 1958 he moved to Houston, Texas and made a living driving an Ice Cream Truck and was there for almost 2 years. Kerry and Tony stayed with him after our summer visit with him in 1959, and we went to Rosenberg/Richmond area where we pulled cotton, and then to San Antonio where he got a job as a baker, but later had a job offer from Mercury, Nevada as a baker at the Atomic Energy Department.

After that he went to Idaho for a while, where he owned or operated a cafe and had to work about 18 hours a day.

He eventually came back to Las Vegas and had various jobs as a Taxi Driver, Coin Counter at a Casino, etc.

Around 1972 he moved to Spearman, Texas to live close to his daughter, Nikki Swenn and sometimes would go on harvest with her and her husband, Melvin Swenn.

He was 71 Years, 8 Months and 10 days old on the day of his death.
