A memorial plaque to Abigail Pettibone Phelps Strong is located in the Hop Meadow Cemetery, Simsbury, CT. It is dedicated by the Abigail Phelps Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, on their 110th anniversary. It is an honor worthy of posting here.
The plaque notes that Abigail and Lt. David Phelps are the parents of David, Elisha, and Noah Phelps. Their sons were distinguished officers who served in the American Revolution. The sons are buried in Hop Meadow Cemetery.
The plaque also notes that Abigail is buried with her second husband, Deacon David Stong, in Bolton, Ct.∼This is a cenotaph. She's buried at Bolton Cemetery with her second husband David Strong. See Findagrave Memorial #58904685.
