William Williams, well known pioneer resident of Boone County, passed away at his home in Douglas Township at 8:00 o'clock Tuesday evening November 16th. He was sixty years old (sic) and had been in poor health for some time. He came to Boone County in 1854 and settled near the present Meadow Grove church where he has since resided. His wife died several years ago (sic). Several children and brothers and sisters survive to mourn his death. The funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon from the Meadow Grove UB. church, burial in the cemetery (ask HULL) at that place.
