Catherine Hedden, born Feb 21 1822 in Shelby, Kentucky, was the daughter of William Oliver Hedden and Rachel Van Cleave of Shelby Co., KY., the granddaughter of Gilbert Hedden and Priscilla Mahuron, and great-granddaughter of Abraham Hedden and Charity Munson Hedden.

On March 30 1843 she married Daniel Levi Brewer, son of Daniel A. Brewer Sr. and Nancy Smith. Daniel died April 20 1868 at Osage Mission, Neosho, Kansas.

On December 25, 1869 at Neosho, Kansas, Catherine married second, John W. Foster, who was born Sep 9 1820. He died Aug 28 1895 at Canville, Neosho, Kansas and is said to be buried at Lakeview Cemetery at Canville. His first marriage had been to a Hannah Oury who died Jan 31 1868 and is also said to be buried at Lakeview.

Catherine migrated to Dade County, Missouri, where she died May 25 1903 at Greenfield.

A relation who has visited the cemetery notes that the only headstone at Carrs is for Catherine, wife of Daniel Brewer, which reads, "Catherine wife of Daniel Brewer". However, obits relate that her son, David Nathaniel Brewer, and his wife, Delana Louise Fowler, were also buried at Carrs Chapel.
