He married Laura Arrethia Garner, daughter of Thomas Bagby Garner and Frances Matilda Houch, on October 17, 1897 in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
Brother A.B. White & Sister Laura were blessed with fifteen children. Three girls including Leara and Viola, died in infancy. All of the children they raised came unto to the Lord. They prayed together as a family three times a day.
A.B. White was a Free Holiness Minister on Sand Mountain, Jackson County, Alabama and in Buford, Gwinnett, Georgia. He and his wife came to the Lord in the same month in 1913. Sister Laura received the Holy Spirit at home and Brother Barto was with Brother Jim Kennedy when the Lord redeemed him. He gave power filled sermons at Old Sardis and the Rock House Church and baptized many in Sauty Creek. The Holiness preachers in those days just went everywhere and preached to all who would listen. Brother Barto (A.B.) White was called of the Lord into the ministry and caused many to come to the Lord.
Brother A.B. White passed away at age sixty-six and is buried at Old Sardis Cemetery, Section, Jackson County, Alabama. He was a minister of the gospel for over thirty years and was widely known especially over the Sand Mountain Area and his death brought sadness to the thousands who knew him. One of the largest crowds ever gathered at Old Sardis to pay last respects. At his death he left 59 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren
