Abraham L. Sixkiller was born 15 June 1845 in Cherokee Nation. He died 20 January 1920 in Adair County, OK. He is buried in Sixkiller Cemetery, Adair County, OK. His Cherokee name was Dah-qua-he-que. He was elected councilor of Going Snake District in 1897.

He married (2) April 1865, Lizzie Shawnee. She died 18 January 1868 in Goingsnake District.

He married (3) about 1866, Nannie Proctor. She was born about 1844, (daughter of William Proctor and Dicey Downing).

He married (4) about 1872, Sallie Thornton. She was born in 1848, (daughter of Wiley Glover Thornton and Nannie Jane Brimmer.) She died in 1880 west of Claremore, on the Caney River, Cooweescoowee District, Cherokee Nation.

He married (5) 20 December 1885 in Goingsnake District, Margaret Crittenden. She was born 30 November 1857 in Baptist, Goingsnake District, Cherokee Nation (daughter of Aaron Crittenden and Susan Catherine "Caty" Foreman.) She died 25 April 1934 in Westville, Adair County, OK. She is buried in Sixkiller Cemetery, Adair County, OK.
