CROSBY -- Arthur "Sam" Henry Dangers, 77, Crosby, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, at Cuyuna Regional Care Center of Crosby.

He was born Sept. 26, 1922, in Aitkin to Fred and Dora (Gruenhagen) Dangers. He married Bernice B. Greenhagen on Oct. 23, 1932, in Watertown, S.D. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a former employee of Long Year Drilling Co. and a retired M.A. Hanna Mining Co. employee with 28 years of service. He was also a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Iron Hub.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice "Bea"; a daughter, Marianne Auge, Crosby; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; a brother, William E. Dangers Sr., Aitkin; and three sisters, Lydia Fellerman, Aitkin, Marie McCormick, Duluth, and Esther Peterson, Hoyt Lakes.

A son, Thomas Dangers, a brother, Fred C. Dangers, and two sisters, Martha Goede and Dorothy Fellerman, died earlier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Iron Hub with the Rev. David Becker officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Friends may call at Koop Funeral Home of Crosby from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., and at the church an hour before services Friday.
