Allene Taylor, 88, of Marmaduke died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, at her home.
She was born Oct. 1, 1913, in Marmaduke to the late Arzo Estus Harvey and Eva Belle (Ogles) Harvey. She was married in May 1934 to Zeek W. Taylor, who preceded her in death Nov. 25, 1979.
She was a beautician and a member of the Marmaduke First United Methodist Church.
Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Cheryl Seay, on Sept. 11, 1978; two brothers, Vernon Harvey and Lowell Harvey, and one sister, Billie Reba Harvey.
Survivors include one son, Zeek Taylor of Eureka Springs; one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Rick Spain of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Betty Henry of Texarkana and Verlene Duty of Paragould, five grandchildren, Carla Adams of Paragould, Brent Seay of Bentonville, Todd Spain of Springdale, Darick Spain of Fayetteville and Tiffany (Spain) Mansell of Fayetteville and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at Marmaduke First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Thresher and Rev. Kelly Craft officiating. Burial was in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery near Marmaduke with Irby Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Jerry Don McIntosh, Donnie Reynolds, Allen Newell, Glen Freeman, Gary Franks, Lindell Stallings and Harry Gibson.
