Eleanor Elizabeth Oliver Bailey 78 of Roanoke passed away Thursday, March 25, 2004 in Roanoke. Born May 20, 1925 in Roanoke, she was the daughter of the late William W and Cleo Hoffman Oliver. She married Charles Clayton Bailey on December 25, 1941. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1970. A sister, Irene O Mitchell also preceded Mrs. Bailey in death. Mrs. Bailey worked as a nurse's aide for Catawba Hospital for 17 years. She is survived by three children: Evelyn B Ward, Nancy B Brown, Charles L Bailey. Several grandchildren and great-grandson.
