Marva Elaine (Bowden) Davis, 87, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 11, 2010. Funeral services were held Sept. 15 at Mundy Funeral Home in Jamestown, with Bishop Bruce York officiating. Interment was in Taylors Place Cemetery in Jamestown.
Mrs. Davis was born Dec. 1, 1922, in Jamestown, the daughter of Ovid Virgil Bowden Sr. and Alma (Cooper) Bowden.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Glenn (James) of Muncie, IN, Joan Koger of Albany, KY, and Julia King (Jerry) of Lake Wells, FL; son, Johnny Ray Tinch of Crossville; brothers, Elroy Bowden (Madeline) and Virgil Bowden Jr. of Jamestown; sisters, Ann Beaty (Bob) and Justine Linder of Jamestown; grandchildren, Marva Wright of Jamestown, Sheila Cantrell of Murfreesboro, Erick King of Muncie, IN, Jenny Tinch-Giles of Crossville, Karen Smith of Jamestown, Audrie Tinch of Cookeville and Rachal Tinch of Crossville; great-grandchildren, J.D. Sewell III of Muncie, IN, Jonathan Sewell of Carthage, MO, Zachary Tinsley, Karly Tinsley, Skylar Benjamin, Gracelynn Smith and Jonathan Smith, all of Jamestown; and great-great-grandchild, Izabelle Sewell of Muncie, IN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Woodrow Hood; second husband, Logan Tinch; and brothers, Ovid Bowden and Carl Bowden.
