Albert Kaleionaona Hoapili Jr. was born 18 Jan 1893 to Mr. and Mrs. Albert K. Hoapili Sr. He was a student of the Aliiolani School under the instruction of Rev. Frank Fitz of the former English church and was employed in Hawaii by T.H. Davies & Co. In 1912, Albert Jr. left Hawai'i on the ship Phelps to New York. On the morning of 21 Oct 1918, Albert Jr. was stricken with the Spanish flu, dying that afternoon. He was survived by his wife Jennie Dewey Jackson (1888 - 1948) of Manhattan, whom he married in 1916; brothers Patrick K. and George N. Hoapili, who were enlisted in the U.S. military; and sisters Alexandrina K., Mary Alice K., and Elizabeth K. Hoapili.
