Percy Boughey was the 15th child born to Thomas Boughey and Julia Ann Plant Boughey (there were 16 children all told). Following in his father's and grandfather's footsteps, Percy obtained his license in the British Methodist Church and was a pastor in Lancashire, England from 1913-1915. He immigrated to the United States in March of 1915 and transfered to the United Methodist Philadelphia Conference, serving in Hummelstown from 1915-1916. He married Lucy Belle Harries on 14 Sep 1916 and transfered to the United Methodist Central Pennsylvania Conference, and over a period of more than 40 years, served as pastor in Liverpool, Montandon, Kulpmont, Audenreid, Williamsport Market Street, Weatherly, Ashland, Shippensburg and Renovo. He retired in 1961, and traveled to England often to visit his brothers and sisters. Percy and his wife Lucy had no children.
