Karl I. Whipp Age 95, of Lewisburg, passed away Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 following a brief illness. He was a lifelong member of Lewisburg United Methodist Church and retired after 42 years with Dayton Tire & Rubber.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, by a son, Doyle and by a sister, Gladys Knierim.

Karl is survived by children & their spouses, Don Whipp & Joanne of Lewisburg, Joan Yount & Jim of Brookville, James Dean Whipp & Bonnie of Greenville, Janet Richards & Terry and Dale Whipp & Charlene, all of Vandalia; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren & 7 great-great- grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 10-11 AM Mon. Sept. 20 at the Lewisburg United Methodist Church located on US Rt. 40 west of town. The funeral will begin at 11:00 AM at the church, and burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. Pastors Dan Gildner & Jeff Ginter will officiate the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Lewisburg UMC. Arrangements have been entrusted to GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE. E-mail condolences may be sent by going online to www.gilbert-fellers.com
