Marvin Wayne Best, 73, of Sulphur was born Oct. 5, 1936, in Hobart to Archie Leo and Viola (Hester) Best and died Sept. 5, 2010, in Shawnee. Funeral services were Sept. 9 at the Resthaven Memory Gardens Chapel in Oklahoma City. Interment was at Resthaven Memory Gardens. He received an honorable discharge in 1962 after serving in the United States Air Force. He taught in Oklahoma City for 28 years, coached football and baseball and was athletic director at Capitol Hill and Southeast High Schools for a number of years. Hale's Krien Funeral Home of Sulphur was in charge of arrangements.
