Addie Bea George Douthit was the daughter of Daniel Joseph George and his second wife, Nancy Elizabeth "Bettie" Christopher. Addie was one of three girls born to the couple before Bettie passed away in 1888.

Addie married Marcel Young Douthit, son of Calvin Young Douthit and Mary Jane Dunlap. They were married by E.S. Wilson in Lincoln County Tennessee on Dec. 17, 1889.

In 1900, census documents show the couple and their children living in Lincoln, County, Tennessee. By 1910 they had moved to Sand Springs in Limestone County, Alabama. The 1930 census showed the couple living in Quid Nune, Limestone, Alabama. Addie's death certificate states that she died in Morgan County, Alabama.
