Emma Fatheree Etheredge, born December 23, 1912, passed away on November 20, 1999 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Her family and friends will forever be inspired by her dignity, grace and unselfish spirit. Mrs. "E" as she is affectionally know, touched the lives of many during her 41 years of teaching.
Emma is survived by her husband of 59 years, M.B., her daughter Virginia Lee Thompson and husband Robert and granddaughters Catherine Lynlee Overend and her husband Todd, and Charlotte Elizabeth L'Heureux and husband Michael.
Mrs. Etheredge will lie in state at the Huntsville Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 1999. The family cordially invites friends to visit them at their home. Services will be held Tuesday, November 23, 1999 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Huntsville. In lieu of flowers the family has requested you consider memorials to the M.B. & Emma Etheredge Scholarship Fund at Sam Housotn State University, or your church or charity of your choice.
