Obit: William Glackin, who died at his home, near here, Saturday morning, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fietta J. Glackin, and the followint children: Mrs. Samuel Rudy, York Haven; Mrs. William Jackson, Baltimore; Samuel Glackin, Airville; Mrs. Albert Shepp, York; Daniel Glackin, near here; William Glackin, Jr., at home; Benjamin Glackin, Goldsboro; Mrs. Curvin Runkle, Chanceford township, and Mrs. Ross Wise, Collinsville. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, Jacob Glackin, Delta; John Glackin, Peach Bottom; Mrs. James Loyd, Baltimore; Mrs. John Brown, York; also by nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild, of whom all are living. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon at 2 p.m., at McKendree Methodist Episcopal church. The service being conducted by the pastor, the Rev. M. J. Runyon. Assisted by the Rev. G.A. Roseburg and the Rev. Francis Hagen. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery. The pallbearers were: Ramsey Howett, Marvelick Campbell, Randall McCollam, S.W. Taylor, Arthur Druck and Samuel Morton. Mr. Glackin was born in Drumore township, Lancaster county, on Sept. 29, 149. He was employed by the state highway department for several years.
