Cora Belle was first married to Charles Nelson Twidwell (28 August 1907; second marriage to Charles Frederick Schwanke (28 September 1935). Belle and Charles Schwanke were married by Rev. Taylor at Fred Smith home in Plymouth, IL. After their marriage, Belle and Charles Nelson Twidwell operated a farm on land passed down from Twidwell ancestors in Lamoine Twp., McDonough Co., IL, They were divorced ca 1929. Belle worked at the telephone office in Plymouth, IL, after moving to Plymouth. She later married Charles Schwanke and lived the remainder of her life in Plymouth. Belle and Charles had four children: Lyle Newell Twidwell (b. 24 October 1908), William Lowell (AKA Lowell William) Twidwell (b. 2 May 1911), Velma Marine Twidwell (b. 29 December 1913), and Norma Jean Twidwell (b. 27 July 1926). Belle is the daughter of William Andrew and Mary Malinda (Snider)Sanford.
