Anthony R. Frazer was born Jan. 5, 1844 at Lincoln, Pennsylvania. He married Amelia Shirk at Lincoln, Pennsylvania on Jan. 9, 1870 They had 9 children and 6 of them still survive. He died Feb. 27, 1920 at Madison, Nebraska.

The son of William Jackson & Catharine (McCollum) Fraser, in 1860 he was living with his family in Ephrata Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The 1860 census spells the family surname "Frazer."

A Civil War veteran, he served two terms of service:
1. Enlisted in Lancaster August 9, 1862, mustered into federal service there August 11 as a private with Co. F, 122nd Pennsylvania Infantry, and honorably discharged with his company May 15, 1863.
2. Enlisted in Philadelphia March 4, 1864, mustered into federal service there April 1 as a private Co. H, 186th Pennsylvania Infantry, promoted to corporal January 1, 1865, and honorably discharged with his company August 15, 1865.
His surname is spelled "Frazer" in both company registers.

After the war, he married Amelia Wilson "Millie" Shirk in Ephrata Township and fathered George Stuart (b. 11/01/70), Daniel Sickles (b. 08/23/72), Charles E. (b. 11/13/74), infant (b./d/ 1876), William S. (b. 04/20/77), Amelia Hulda "Mildred" (b. 11/24/78 - married Charles E. Davis), Frederick Grant (b. @1887), and Blanche Allen (b. 01/29/91 - married Melvin L. Dopson). By 1878, he was living with his family in Grundy County, Iowa, in 1884 resided in Sedgwick County, Kansas, where he joined Rankin Post No. 325, G.A.R., and by 1890 was a resident of Madison County, Nebraska.
