Britt - Vincent Fillenwarth 64, a farmer and cattle feeder, died Sunday at a Mason City hospital. He had been in poor health the last year.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Boughton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ralph (June) Hauser, Algona; Mrs. Duane (Rose) Francis, Britt; Mrs. Earl (Fern) Robinson, Wesley; Mrs. Robert (Judy) Brunsvold, Forest City; two sons, Vernon, Britt; Paul, at home; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Fillenwarth, Britt.

For Vincent Fillenwarth
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Broughton Funeral Home and 1:30 p.m. at the Baptist church at Britt for Vincent Fillenwarth, a long-time resident of this vicinity. Burial was made in the Fillenwarth lot in Evergreen Cemetery at Britt. The Rev. B.A. Rust and the Rev. Keith Wiyinger were in charge of the rites.
Vincent Howard Fillenwarth was born on a farm in Erin Township, south of Britt, April 1, 1898, a son to the later Frank and Ann Jane Ward-Fillenwarth. He grew to manhood on the farm of his birth and took over the farming interests in 1926 when his parents retired to a home in Britt. He was married to Marie Earles at Britt on June 9, 1926.
There for thirty-six years he farmed until last summer when an illness of several months forced him to give up his work. He spent several weeks in hospitals at both Britt and Rochester, Minn, after which he made his home with his sister, Miss Margaret Fillenwarth in Britt.A son, Vernon and his wife, Darlene, and their three children took over the farming interests in August. Mr Fillenwarth's last illness dates back to Dec. 28 when he was hospitalized at Britt. On January 2 he was moved to the Mercy Hospital at Mason City, where death came at 4:50 p.m. Sunday, Jan 6. He had reached the age of 64 years, 9 months, and 5 days.
Others surviving besides those already mentioned include the following children: Mrs. Ralph (June) Hauser, Algona; Mrs. Duane (Rose) Francis, Britt; Mrs. Earl (Fern) Robinson, Wesley; Mrs Robert (Judy) Brunsvold, Forest City and their families and Paul Fillenwarth, Britt.
