Mrs. Margaret "Maggie" ENGLE, 76, a Beaver Dam lake resort owner and operator for many years, died at 12:40 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke's Hospital, Chicago.
She was born Sept. 27, 1882, at St. John, Ind., the daughter of Louis and Magdalene SHAEFFER ERB. Her husband, Hershel ENGLE, died in 1938. Mrs. Engle was a member of the
Royal Neighbors lodge.
Surviving are a son, George [ENGLE], Gary; a daughter, Mrs. William BENNETT, Highland; six grandchildren, and a brother, Loe ERB, Westville. One son preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Moyer-Haupert Funeral Home in Akron and burial will be in the Akron Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday.
