She was born November 22, 1916, in West Elizabeth, a daughter of James and Margaret Weir Crosier.
Mrs. Bennett was retired as a teacher with West Jefferson Hills School District. Starting in 1937, she taught at Jones School, and in 1979 she retired from Pleasant Hills School.
She was a member of Jefferson United Presbyterian Church, Jefferson Hills, and Friendly Group at Pleasant Hills Presbyterian Community Church.
She was a graduate of Clairton High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
On November 7, 1947, in West Elizabeth, she married George W. Bennett III, who is deceased.
Surviving are four nieces, Kay Fries of Newport News, Va., Bobbie Jean (John) Gecan of Tappahannock, Va., Linda Nickles (William) of Amity and Holly (Terry) Ladley of Baldwin, and two nephews, Park Crosier of Canonsburg and Dean (Sue) Crosier of Bethel Park.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 South Street, Elizabeth, where services will be held at noon Saturday, August 12, with the Rev. Robert W. Koschik officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Care of Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301; or Jefferson United Presbyterian Church, 716 Gill Hall Road, Jefferson Hills, PA 15025.
