At 95 Years

Mrs. Cynthia Ellen Richards Brewer, 95, the oldest resident of Union, Salt Lake County, died Saturday at 12:25 p.m.

Mrs. Brewer, a temple and Relief Society worker for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, spent her early life in the old Union Fort.

Her father, Silas Richards, was the first bishop of the Cottonwood LDS Ward, and LDS President Brigham Young was a frequent visitor at their home.

Born Sept. 13, 1861, in Union, she was a daughter of Silas and Keziah Francis Brady Richards. She was married to Myron C. Brewer Feb. 27, 1878, in the old Salt Lake Endowment House. Mr. Brewer died many years ago.

SHE IS SURVIVED by two daughters, Mrs. George F. Summerhays, Mrs. Florence Rumph, with whom she formerly resided, Salt Lake City; one son, Andrew A. Brewer, Los Angeles, Calif.; 20 grandchildren, 83 great-grand-children, one brother, Leo Richards, California, and a brother-in-law, George G. Sharp.

Funeral arrangements will be announced from 260 E. South Temple.
