Lowell C. Hewlett, age 89, of Burley, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at Parke View Rehabilitation and Care Center.
He was born June 24, 1921 in Corinne, Utah to Emery David and Gertrude Dunn Hewlett. He married Ruby Matson in 1941. They later divorced. He married Eleanor Bradshaw on Aug. 15, 1952. She survives.
He is also survived by his children, Tom (Karen) Hewlett of Emmett, Ken Hewlett of Salome, Arizona, David (Jill) Hewlett of Kiowa, Colorado, Kelly (Janice Nelson) Hewlett of Eagle and Susie (Robert) Fairbrother of Jerome; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a sister, Donna Benoit of Twin Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Gary Hewlett; three sisters, Wanda Glandon, Afton Crane and Bonnie Taylor and two brothers, LaMar Hewlett and Robert Hewlett.
He served in the U.S. Navy Submarine Services during World War II.
