According to family lore passed on to me by a grandson of George's, George died somewhere along the trail from Lee County, Virginia to Laurel County, Kentucky. So if true George may never have reached Kentucky at all or at least not Laurel County.

Gravesite Details

Probably buried in an unmarked grave in the Ball Cemetery in Laurel Co., Ky. At least two of George's family members are buried in this cemetery, wife Jane (oldest Ball burial with a headstone) and son Rev J.T. Ball
