F. L. Ainsworth, 79, Called at Orange
ORANGE, July 13.--Death today summoned F. L. Ainsworth, pioneer resident, former Mayor and county political leader.
Ainsworth, 79 years of age, a staunch Republican, had extensive property holdings in both the business and residential district.
While serving as Mayor in 1920, he was instrumental in securing a new City Hall.
In 1900 he established the first lumber yard here. Later he devoted his interests to citrus growing and was a stockholder and director of First National Bank.
For fifteen years he served as Sunday school superintendent at the Christian Church. He was a member of the Rotary Club and Odd Fellows lodge.
He leaves his widow and three daughters, Mrs. Alice Gearhart of Los Angeles, Mrs. A. D. Burkett of Orange, and Mrs. Marjorie Moore of Garden Grove.
