Funeral services were held at the Valhalla Funeral Home in Hayti on Friday, January 25, for Alver Hunter Crook, who died at the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital on January 22 at the age of 63 years.
Mr. Crook is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Smith of this city and Mrs. Beatrice Dennis of Los Angeles, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Ada Kash of Memphis, Mrs. Florence Blackman of Pensacola, Fla.; and Mrs. Mattie Wiggins of Chicago; two brothers, Atwood Crook of Memphis and Earl Crook of this city; and four grandchildren.
The Rev. H.T. Payne conducted the funeral service and burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.
