BERKEBILE -- Mrs. Emma M., 81, 1078 Crest Avenue, died morning of Nov. 25, 1961, at home. Born in Paint Township, Somerset County, Mar. 24, 1880, daughter of Albert and Christina (Shaffer) Berkey. Preceded in death by husband, Harvey A., Sept. 2, 1961; a daughter, two sisters and a brother. Survived by these children: Ruth, wife of John Cuppett, 1080 Crest avenue, and Albert, married to former Ruth Housel, 1076 Crest avenue; two stepchildren: Celia, wife of Morris Detwiler, Schellsburg, and Vivan, wife of James Mock, 1060 May Street; 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Sister of Mrs. Mary Allison, Windber, and Mrs. Ida Callihan, Ephrata, Pa. Member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren and Good Samaritan Bible Class. Friends received in Fred Geisel Funeral Home where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Rev. Joseph Whitacre. Interment, Berkey Cemetery, Windber.
