Albert Eastling, 82, died at his home in Dassel on December, 21 1975. Funeral services were held from the Evangelical Covenant Church in Dassel on December 24 with the Rev. Wallace Pratt, pastor of the church, officiating. Lowell Edlund was the soloist, and Mrs. Rodney Nelson was the organist. Casket bearers were Alfred Nelson, Clarence Nelson, Harvey Olson, Harry Bengtson, Stanley Olson, and Raymond Johnson. Interment was in the Dassel Cemetery.
Albert Eugene Eastling was born on December 29, 1892, in Cokato, Minnesota. His parents were Mary and Peter Estling. In November 1927, he was married to Lydia Bendix in Cokato.
Albert owned and operated restaurants in Madison Lake, Willmar, and Cokato, and in 1934 they moved to Dassel where he operated the Log Cabin Lunch Café for several years.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Roger (Shirley) Fremo, New Brighton, and Mrs. Gordon (Arlene) Sathre, Braham, six grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. John (Elsie) Olson of Cokato.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1942, his parents, and two brothers, Ernest and Arthur.
