In 1950 Philip was living with wife Louise and newborn daughter Phyllis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he was working as a postal clerk with the railway.

He passed away in 2000; his last recorded residence with Social Security was in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
