Clarence J. Cross, 60, of Stent, died at his home last Thursday following an extended Illness. He was a native of Texas and had lived in Tuolumne County for quite a number of years where he followed mining. He grew up in Tarrant County, Texas. He was a corporal at Post Majayjay, Philippine Islands, Military and Naval Forces and a veteran of the Spanish American War.
