Margaret Blair Price Jones , died Aug. 22, 1998, at Friends Home Guilford in Greensboro.

Mrs. Jones was born April 19, 1901, in Norfolk. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Milnor and Elizabeth Lines Cannon Price of Norfolk. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Garland Jones of Norfolk and Greensboro, and son, William Garland Jones Jr. of Raleigh, N.C.

Mrs. Jones was a graduate of the St. George's School of Norfolk. She was active over her lifetime in a number of activities including the King's Daughters Hospital, the Junior League, the Red Cross, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Greensboro Public Library. Mrs. Jones was an active member of both the First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk and of Greensboro.

She is survived by her son, Milnor Price Jones and his wife, Julia, of Greensboro; sister, Mrs. Betty Shelburne of Virginia Beach; daughter-in-law, Neville W. Jones of Raleigh; grandchildren, Blair J. Johnston and Michaux J. Noah of Raleigh, M. Price Jones Jr. of Greensboro and Elizabeth J. McDevitt of Bryn Mawr, Pa.; two nieces, Juliet N. Dalton of Norfolk and Grace J. Fishel of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; a nephew, Robert L. Nutt Jr. of Englewood, N.J.; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends Homes Guilford, 925 New Garden Road, Greensboro, N.C. 27410 or to the First Presbyterian Church Library, 617 N. Elm St., Greensboro, N.C. 27401.
