Deceased Name: June Pitcher Noyes Johansson "Loving mother and grandmother"

June Pitcher Noyes Johansson of Salt Lake City, Utah, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend returned to her Heavenly Father on 2 March 2003, at the age of 92.

June was born 19 June 1910 in Cardston, Alberta,

Canada, to Walter Edward and Nellie Hinman Pitcher.

June had a zest for life that will never be forgotten. She valued education. At age 18, she traveled to Salt Lake and studied to receive her Registered Nurse degree at LDS Hospital. She married her sweetheart and eternal companion Dr. Marion B. Noyes on 9 July 1934.

She served as a loving, faithful mother and wife, raising three children while her husband served honorably as a doctor in the US Public Health Service. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she held many leadership positions in the Relief Society, Primary, and Sunday School auxiliaries. June was a talented pianist and organist who blessed the lives of the congregations in which she served. Marion passed away on 7 August 1965. As a recent widow in 1966, June continued her service as a private nurse to President David O. McKay and his wife Emma Ray, until their deaths. Her testimony of the prophet's divine mission continues to bless her posterity today.

On 4 September 1979, she married Evert Johansson, a wonderful man. They enjoyed many great years together, until Evert's passing on 16 October 1996.

June, an intelligent, beautiful woman, delighted others with her living spirit, her sense of humor and boundless energy. She was an example to all. The joy of her life was her family. She faithfully remembered each birthday and special event in our lives.

She is survived by her three children, Richard Noyes and his wife Eileen, of Irvine, California; Dr. Frank Noyes and his wife JoAnne of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Sondra MacNaughtan and her husband Kay of Sandy, Utah; seven grandchildren, Rick Noyes and his wife Jozet, Andy Noyes, Chris Noyes, Christina Baird and her husband Thomas, Robert Noyes, Michele Nigliazzo and her husband Luke, and Mark Vader and his wife Carrie Ann; nine great-grandchildren, Nathan, Zachary, Katelin, Ashley, Luke, John, and Jessica June; her sisters Ruth Leavitt and Kate Spencer; and many nieces and nephews. Her great-granddaughter Callie Ann preceded her in death. June was looking forward to the birth of her tenth great-grandchild in June.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 7 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 So., Sandy, Utah. Friends may call a half hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Ephraim City Cemetery at 12 noon on Saturday, March 8. Our family wishes to thank June's personal caretakers and the staff at Hospice Care Source for their loving care.
