Born Aug. 27, 1915, in Moultrie, Mrs. Wurdemann was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Hassie H. Trimble. She married Lt. Col. William H. Wurdemann on Jan. 5, 1954, and accompanied him in his work for the U.S. government, which took them abroad. The couple lived in Brazil for three years and in Africa for eight years. For several years, the two lived in McLean, Va., where Lt. Col. Wurdemann was stationed with the State Department prior to retiring to Crystal River in 1974. Since her husband's death in 1976, Mrs. Wurdemann had enjoyed time with family and friends and had attended Crystal River United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Vangie C.S. Rich and husband Curtis of Crystal River; her stepdaughter, Bonnie W. Mitchell of New Providence, N.J.; one brother and sister-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Lucien L. Trimble of Atlanta; three sisters-in-law, Edith Trimble of Florence, Ala., Virginia Trimble of Moultrie and and Ruth Trimble of Chamblee; two grandsons, William T. Swigert and wife Shane of Alexandria, Va., and Brett L. Swigert and wife Nancy of Lake Weir, Fla.; six stepgrandchildren, Deborah R. Wheeler and husband Bill of Tallahassee, Fla., Alana R. Crowder and husband David of Floral City, Fla., Curtis A. Rich II of Crystal River, Laura M. Possino and husband Steve of Pittsburgh, Pa., Lindsey M. Nazelli and husband Tom of Maplewood, N.J., and Michael L. Mitchell of Bedminster, N.J.; six stepgreat-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and two long-time caregivers, Angela Pennington and Gail Wood, both of Crystal River.
