MONTEREY -- Funeral services for Nettie Lee Williams, 85, of Monterey, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wed., April 14, from the chapel of Horner Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Whittaker Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. today, Tues., April 13, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Williams died on Sun., April 11, 1999, at the Standing Stone Health Care Center, following an extended illness.

She was born on March 2, 1914, in Monterey to the late Crockett and Pearlie Belle Buckner Bohannon. Mrs. Williams was a retired cook at Uffelman Elementary School and a member of the Monterey Church of Christ. She was also a member of FCE (Family Community Education), and Monterey Eastern Star #441.

Her family includes three sons and daughters-in-law, Lester and Wanda Williams of Annandale, Va., Morris and Margit Williams of El Paso, Texas, and Meredith (Mouse) and Linda Williams of Monterey; two daughters and sons-in-law, Drucilla and George Ray and Connie (Polly) and Roger Nichols, all of Monterey; a brother, Robert (Dinky) Bohannon of Monterey; three sisters, Maggie Pitts of Goodlettsville, Noel Belle of Dayton, Ohio, and Nora Mae Williams of Xenia, Ohio; and 10 grandchildren, Lisa Benson, Leslie Hunze, Melissa Mackie, Angie Gore, Greg Ray, Lester, Luke, Tim, Brian and Morris Williams Jr.; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Williams; a brother, Harry Bohannon; and an infant son.

Pallbearers will be Brian, Lester and Luke Williams, Greg Ray, Dewayne Benson, Bobby (Fly), Bruce, Phillip and Tim Bohannon, and Gary Morris.

Bro. Jack Honeycutt and Rev. Roy Nash will officiate at the services.
