"Mrs. Esther Dugan, a highly esteemed resident of Hedgesville, died at her home there Sunday evening at 4 o'clock of pleurisy, after an illness of a week. She was 71 years old last August. Mrs. Dugan was born and reared at Little Georgetown. She resided in Hedgesville for the last ten years, making her home with her sister, Mrs. L. S. Howard. Her husband died many years ago.
Surviving are two children: Mr. Wm. Dugan, Little Georgetown, and Mrs. Harry Coleman, Hedgesville; also two sisters: Mrs. L. S. Howard, Hedgesville, and Mrs. Margaret Pearl, Middleway, Jefferson county.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 10 a. m. in the Hedgesville Methodist church, south, of which the deceased was a zealous member, and conducted by Rev. L. G. Michael. The remains will be brought to Martinsburg and burial in Green Hill cemetery."
