Bernadine M. Gardner, 69, of North Road died Feb. 24 at the New London Hospital.
Born in Hiram, Maine, a daughter of Oliff and Adella Huntress Mason, she had lived in the Sunapee area since 1948.
Mrs. Gardner graduated in 1945 from Kezar Falls High School in Maine. She worked for the International Shoe Company in Newport for seven years and Green Mountain Sportswear for three years.
She enjoyed outdoor activities and enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren.
Her husband of 36 years, Wesley Gardner, died in 1984.
Survivors include a son, Bruce Gardner of Sunapee; a daughter, Toni Feeney of Saco, Maine; three brothers, Harold of Falmouth, Maine, Harley of Fryeburg, Maine, and Bernard Mason of Cornish, Maine; five sisters, Idolyn Davis of Kezar Falls, Brenda Sargent of Freedom, Beryl Thayer of New Gloucester, Maine, Eva Michaels of Porter, Maine, and Donna Molbeck of Lancaster, Pa.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
There will be no service. Spring burial will be in Eastman Cemetery. Arrangements are by Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, Newton.
